As a guide in the Himalaya’s, Africa, South America and Australia, Allan delivers a personalised service, focused on providing a safe, professional experience for his clients.


He has guided in all corners of the globe including 9 successful summits of Mt Kilimanjaro, with over 20 high altitude climbs in the Himalaya's including Mt Everest (8850m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8200m), Baruntse (7129m) and Ama Dablam (6812m), along with 8 climbs of Mera Peak (6476m), 3 climbs of Lobuche East and Island Peak and numerous other 6000m+ climbs.  


He regularly leads groups of trekkers into Everest Base Camp also.


He is an expert at managing clients in high altitude environments which has resulted in the highest success rates on both climbs and treks he leads.  He is experienced in handling logistics, decision making, assessing risk whilst maintaining a harmonious team environment. 


Allan is a well known identity in the mountains and has forged a close working relationship with the best guides and local service providers for many years now, which only enhances the overall experience and confidence for those who join Everest One.


Allan is popular with his clients for his calm approach, depth of knowledge, experience and approachability.


He takes enormous pride in helping people reach their goal and along the way, develop life-changing, unforgettable memories.


Emily is the key contact for Everest One while Allan is in the mountains with new and old friends.

Allan and Emily first met in 2015 after she signed up for a fundraising trek to Everest Base Camp with Everest One and Cancer Council.  

Visiting Nepal again in 2018 with Allan, Emil and our team of local guides and support staff, she is able to offer you first-hand experience of what you can expect trekking with Everest One.   


A true nomad with a passion for travel and the outdoors, Emily will be on hand to help in the planning and coordination of your upcoming adventure.



Hailing from Denmark, Emil and Allan met trekking the stunning 223 km Larapinta trail in the Northern Territory. Allan knew from the moment they met that there was something special and extraordinary about him. 


Emil is 24 years old with the maturity and level of caring that is above and beyond his young years. 

He has worked in forestry and conservation and has trekked across the globe from Europe to places like the Amazon, the mountains of Colombia, the east coast and desert of Australia along with famous New Zealand national parks including Fiordland, Nelson Lakes, Catlins, the Coromandel, and Mt. Aspiring.


People are instantly drawn to him, and he shows compassion, warmth and a real interest in people. Emil now leads Everest One treks to Everest Base Camp.


Having already climbed Island Peak and Lobuche East in Nepal, he has big aspirations, which include taking on 8000m peaks in the future. 




Sumit Joshi is our Nepalese partner ensuring all onground logistics, accommodation, flights and permits are taken care of long before our clients reach Nepal.


Sumit has been climbing with Allan for over 13 years, and working together since 2011, having partnered on Ama Dablam a number of times, Cho Oyu, Baruntse, and Everest along with numerous other 6000m+ mountains.  Sumit is an experienced guide and climber, having reached the summit of Mt Everest.


His knowledge of the mountains, along with having access to the latest communications equipment, weather forecasts and rescue services are crucial, providing the highest level of safety and risk management during the expedition.




Dipendra is our full time support on the ground in Katmandu.

Dipendra met Allan in __ and has been working with Everest One Since. He is on hand for support ranging from insurance, flights, permits, accomodation and transfers.


Born and bred in Katmandu, he is a wealth of knowledge of the city and strong relationships with our partner vendors across Nepal. 




Lama Tenji Sherpa has been a high altitude guide, working in the Himalayas for over 20 years.


He has been the head Sherpa on 6 Everest expeditions, and has an incredible technical climbing ability, along with strong leadership and planning skills in the mountains.


Lama Tenji Sherpa recently joined Everest One as our Sirdar or Head Sherpa for climbing expeditions including Everest, Manaslu and Mera Peak.  He has many years of experience climbing high altitude peaks in Nepal including 4 summits of Mt Everest, along with numerous Himalayan high altitude climbs.


Lama is one of the most popular guides in the Himalayas, with incredible patience and compassion, always aiming to provide our clients with exemplary, caring service.  Nothing is too much trouble and he will bend over backwards to ensure our clients have everything they need.


Lama Tenji Sherpa is a practising monk and teacher of Tibetan Buddhism.  He is regularly involved in delivering our Puja Ceremony for safe passage on the mountain. A gifted, strong and careful climber, who assesses the risk and makes safe, calculated decisions on the mountain.



Wanda is an experienced guide with over 10 years experience focussing on leading 6000m+ climbs along with guiding treks throughout Nepal.  Wanda has an incredibly deep love of his country and its people, and can be seen helping out those less fortunate throughout his ventures.


A cheeky, smart and talented guy, Wanda will make you smile with his spontaneous singing and jokes.  Always laughing, he makes sure our clients are taken care of, and enjoys spending time getting to know his team.


Wanda was also pivotal in helping Everest One distribute essentials to remote villages affected by the earthquake, trekking for days to deliver food, water and shelter.






Deepak is in charge of our trekking trips in Nepal.  


He is an exceptional guide who takes great pride in looking after his guests.  Always receiving amazing feedback, Deepak loves getting to know the group throughout the trek, and makes sure everyone is healthy and happy.


With over 11 years experience, Deepak has been guiding in most parts of Nepal and has a great knowledge of the area.  He is highly respected amongst the villages we pass through and is able to take care of any contingencies or requests at short notice.


A talented cricketer, singer with a business degree, Deepak is smart, sincere and attentive. He loves being outside spending time withpeople..



Rabin Shrestha is in charge of organising all logistics and supplies for our climbs and treks.  This is a complex and challenging role, with early preparation and planning required to ensure all equipment and food is organised for each expedition.


Rabin is also a highly experienced professional cook and has built the Everest Base Camp kitchen into one of the most impressive facilities on the mountain, complete with an industrial oven and stainless steel benchtops.


Rabin has been working with Everest One for almost 8 years including expeditions of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu and Mera Peak.  Rabin specialises in traditional Nepalese, Japanese and continental dishes.


There is something amazing about being served chocolate cake or fresh bread above 5000m, but somehow Rabin makes it happen.




Ndehorio oversees all on-ground handling and logistics in Tanzania.  This role requires careful planning and attention to detail with large teams of support staff, equipment and food required for each expedition.

Ndehorio is the consummate professional and ensures that her team deliver each and every time.

Having been involved in adventure travel and hospitality for over 20 years, Ndehorio knows just how important it is to get it right; providing Everest One clients with the best service and support on Mt Kilimanjaro.

From outstanding, authentic accommodation in Moshi to quality equipment, a diverse, nutritious selection of meals and the most experienced guides on the mountain, Ndheorio has it covered.


Through Everest One's ongoing relationship with Ndehorio, together we ensure that our support staff are paid at higher than standard wages and are provided with all their essential provisions including quality food, warmth and shelter.


Nardo takes care of the behind the scenes planning and preparation for all of Everest One's expeditions.

Nardo arranges everything to ensure our clients are taken the best possible care of from collection at Kilimanjaro International Airport, comfortable local accommodation, transportation, climbing permits, equipment to arranging our support team of porters.

This is a huge operation which requires experience, patience and foresight, all of which Nardo possesses, having been involved in co-ordinating expeditions for over 10 years. 

From the moment Allan arrives in Tanzania, Nardo is co-ordinating with him, checking and ensuring every component of the climb has been addressed. 


Nardo is passionate not only about delivering the highest level service, but also taking care of and protecting the local support staff who are the backbone behind all of our expeditions.  


Kassim has been working with Everest One since 2015, and has led every trip since then.


Kassim is a qualified and licensed guide in Tanzania, with Wilderness First Aid training, having reached the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro more than 200 times and standing on top with the Everest One team 9 times now.


The son of a Park Ranger in Kilimanjaro National Park, you would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable and capable guide on the mountain.

Kassim and Allan have developed a wonderful, professional relationship over the years and work extremely well together, with Kassim taking charge of co-ordinating the support team leaving Allan to take care of the clients.


Kassim is a strong, powerful climber who has an incredible ability to motivate climbers on summit night and instruct his team of guides to provide close, personalised support for all clients.


Bosco is Everest One's second in charge, and supports Kassim on most climbs.

Having worked with Everest One since 2016, Bosco is a qualified, licensed guide, also with Wilderness First Aid training.


Apart from being a strong and capable climber. Bosco is also one of the fittest guides on the mountain, and is currently training for a speed climb of Kilimanjaro in under 12 hours.

Having reached the summit over 100 times, Bosco has an impeccable knowledge of the mountain, from the best view points to a few select points where mobile phone service can be reached.

Bosco is charismatic, engaging and great company for clients on the mountain.  He is passionate about the mountain and helping people, and has been a big part in Everest One's high success rate, with his ability to encourage and support climbers on their summit push.


Japhet is the head cook on all of Everest One's climbs on Mt Kilimanjaro, and has a challenging job, planning a wide and varied diet for the entire expedition.  


Japhet carefully plans every meal, ensuring an abundance of fresh produce, eggs, meat, local specialties, porridge, bread and snacks.


No one goes hungry on our trips, and Japhet dishes up delicious, hearty meals that will satisfy even the most fussiest eater.

All dietary requirements are catered for from vegetarian, vegan to gluten free meals.

An absolute perfectionist, and working from a basic facility inside his cooks tent, Japhet and his team manage to produce meals that put a smile on everyone's face.

Japhet understands that the key to success is ensuring people are happy, feel sustained, have sufficient fuel in their body whilst he follows strict hygiene practices, giving climbers the best shot at reaching their goal.

His daily soups, served with lunch and dinner are made fresh from local ingredients, and are simply amazing whilst the freshly served coffee, brewed from local Tanzanian beans are a treat for those needing a caffeine fix in the morning.



Rashid takes care of Everest One's clients once we set off on the mountain.

Rashid works closely with the cooking team, but is also there and available whenever the clients have a special request or need assistance.

Rashid co-ordinates the meal service, arranges hot drinks, afternoon tea, refills water bottles and ensures the groups needs are always being met.

Rashid never stops.  He is the last to go the bed and first guy up in the morning.

He is usually the most popular member of our team, and connects so well with our clients.

On summit night, Rashid serves you hot drinks and snacks inside your tent whilst you are getting ready for your climb, saving you from venturing out in the cold before you need to.
