Take on The Larapinta Trail
One of the world's top 10 walks

The Larapinta Trail,
is one of Australia's great walks, and the ultimate challenge for the serious adventurer

Trekking the full length of the Larapinta Trail is one of those experiences and personal accomplishments that stay with you for a lifetime.

The full end-to-end trek should not be underestimated and is suited to the adventurer who is physically and mentally strong, is comfortable in the outdoors, and is seeking the ultimate challenge.

If you don't have the time, or feel ready to do the entire walk, then you have the choice of selecting particular sections that interest you, and we will arrange the rest from private transfers to food drops.

You will still walk with the group doing the end-to-end, but you can decide to join up at any point and be collected from wherever you choose.

Just ask us.  We can recommend specific sections that will give you the ultimate mini-experience.

So whether it's 14 nights or just 3, spending time out in the NT under the stars, taking in the awe-inspiring scenery is something not to be missed.

Due to a surge in popularity, the Northern Territory Government have introduced a permit system designed to limit the numbers, maintain accurate visitation data and assist in conservation of the National park.

Everest One have locked in positions and will return in June 2022 for one full expedition, but you will need to secure your spot quickly.  We do not exceed our maximum group size of 10, as keeping the numbers down only enhances your experience whilst lowering our footprint.

We include everything you need, from experienced guides, equipment and food plus allocated food drops.  You can even take advantage of these drops and stash extra clothing, add another book or a special treat and leave dirty or unused clothing and rubbish for collection.

At the end of the day, you just need be prepared to carry a heavy pack and do the walking.

We do things a little different, and prefer to walk from west to east, each day moving one step closer to Alice Springs, with the sun on our back in the afternoon.

We also include ridge-top camping at Hilltop Lookout, Hermits Hideaway and Brinkley Bluff, which do not have facilities like water and toilets, but your efforts will be greatly rewarded with magnificent views, sunsets and if your keen, a wonderful sunrise.

We allow ample time to comfortably complete the trek, without pushing too hard, but there are still some long days, particularly towards the end, when the terrain becomes less demanding.

With the stunning, rugged MacDonnell Ranges rising impressively from the harsh Central Australian desert, you will taken back by the vast mountain views, vivid landscapes, unique flora and fauna.

As we explore incredible rock formations and water holes, cross the ridge tops, travel through the deep, red gorges, and across vast open terrain, you will quickly understand why the Larapinta is the ultimate experience and without doubt one of the most challenging and rewarding multi-day walking adventures Australia has to offer.

"What can I say….I absolutely love hiking with Allan, he is so inspirational! Definitely a quality you need when hiking long distances. Having Allan lead me on a couple of hikes now, I have always felt safe and well looked after, he’s there to help you achieve your goals. What I enjoy most about hiking with Everest One is the attention to detail, the planning and effort that Allan puts in, but still being flexible and making sure you get what you want out of a hike.

I find that safety is always of the utmost importance when Allan leads a group. Hiking up and down remote mountain sides can be exhilarating, but exhausting, Allan leads you at just the right pace to make sure you not only reach your target safely, but not overdo it either.

I was told Central Australia ‘gets under your skin’, but I never imagined just how much I would fall in love with it. Hiking Larapinta with Everest One will go down as one the highlights of my life.

Tjoritja National Park absolutely ‘touched my soul’, the ancient, vast landscapes are just mesmerising, the wildlife is incredible, and those colours at sunrise, woah…..something I will never forget. And it wasn’t just Allan’s skills that made it so amazing, his flair for leading a hike meant I not only had times to myself for reflection, but also friendly banter, and sometimes laughed so much I cried! I don’t know if I’ve ever had such a brilliant time hiking….we won’t mention the ‘hiking karaoke’! Thanks Allan for giving me one of the best hikes I’ve ever done!"
