Everest One is an Australian owned and operated business, specialising in small group adventure travel around the globe since 2011.

We started way back then in Nepal and have since grown to offer bespoke adventures in other countries including Tanzania, Morocco, Argentina and Australia.

We understand that each person has different aspirations and a particular way they like to do things.

Some people are comfortable travelling in groups, others prefer the company of friends or raising money for a cause whilst some want to experience the freedom of the hills alone.

Some people want to get outside of their comfort zone and climb or trek in challenging conditions and discover something they never knew about them-self.

Others have a plan, and want to develop and improve, step by step, until they are ready to take on their ultimate challenge.

And then there are those that just want to see the beauty our world has to offer in style and comfort.

We understand this, and design our trips to cater for everyone’s needs.

Whether you are happy to join a group, organise your own private team, or explore alone with an experienced guide and support team behind you, Everest One are here to make your dreams a reality.

How we started?

Everest One was founded by Allan Cohrs, who is a professional mountaineer and trekking guide based in Australia.

After dedicating 24 years of his life to law enforcement, often surrounded by confronting, dangerous and tragic situations, Allan finally made the transition from law man to mountain man.

The countries we explore?

Following his dreams, Allan has never looked back and together with a remarkable team of experienced guides, has lead trips to all corners of the globe with high altitude climbs in the Himalayas including Mt Everest (8850m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8200m), Baruntse (7129m) and Ama Dablam (6812m), with numerous climbs of Mera Peak (6476m), Lobuche East (6119m) and Island Peak (6189m), along with 13 summits of Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), the highest freestanding mountain in the world and a number of successful climbs of Aconcagua (6960m), the highest mountain in South America.

Everest One also run treks in Nepal, having guided 100’s of trekkers into Everest Base Camp, offering guests the rare opportunity to camp on the glacier for 2 nights, experiencing a taste of expeditionary life, meeting aspiring Mt Everest climbers, exploring the lower reaches of the Khumbu Icefall and listening to the unique sounds of the glacier and surrounding peaks.

We also guide on iconic Australian adventures, including the Overland Track and Walls of Jerusalem in Tasmania and the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory, ranked in the Top 10 walks of the world.

And if you are after true luxury, don’t forget Morocco, where you can experience a few days in the Atlas mountains, climbing Mt Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa, before relaxing in style as you venture through the Sahara desert, staying in your own private camp, exploring vibrant ancient cities including Marrakech and Fes and relaxing in century old luxurious Riads, in the care and guidance of your own local chaperone.

'It's your adventure, we just make it happen'

A climber on the Mt Kilimanjaro trek

Climbing Kilimanjaro was one of the proudest moments of my life. I had just turned 50 during the previous year, so to achieve a physical challenge like this was an amazing boost for my self confidence.

As a public speaker, self confidence is your life blood. Confidence helps you to present your topic and build rapport with an audience.

Unfortunately, I had been hit by many personal challenges in a 5 year period, and in the process, there was a season where my confidence had reached rock bottom.

I questioned my value as an individual and wondered what the future would look like.

I’m happy to say now that I’ve never felt more empowered. I had the privilege of speaking at about 15 events directly after our climb and I have never enjoyed myself more.

Thanks Everest One for leading me on a successful climb and giving me an adventure I will always remember.
