THE LARAPINTA TRAIL
NORTHERN TERRITORY
THE LARAPINTA TRAIL
ONE OF THE WORLD'S TOP 10 WALKS
The Larapinta trail, from end-to-end is one of Australia's great walks, and the ultimate challenge for the serious adventurer.
With the stunning, rugged MacDonnell Ranges rising impressively from the harsh Central Australian desert, you will experience vast mountain views, vivid landscapes, unique flora and fauna, explore incredible rock formations and water holes, as we pass and on two nights camp along the ridge tops, travel through the deep, red gorges, and across vast open terrain.
The full end-to-end is the ultimate experience and without doubt one of the most challenging and rewarding multi-day walking adventures Australia has to offer.

Everest One have carefully planned a safe and exciting itinerary, allowing 15 days of trekking, to comfortably complete the journey, without feeling rushed and walking at your own pace.

This includes 3 nights of ridge-top camping, where you can sit back at the end of the day and take in the endless views and mesmerising sunsets.

The Larapinta Trail, however, should not be underestimated.
For those who chose to undertake the full end to end walk, there are 12 sections which are individually graded from Moderate to Very Hard.
Although there are some days along the trail that are not particularly demanding, you can expect to be walking anywhere from 5 to 10 hours per day, covering uneven trails, from rocky surfaces to sandy creek beds, with many sustained ascents and descents.
As you will be covering the entire trail, from Redbank to Alice Springs, this trek is classed as being unsupported, apart from transfers, food drops, and expert guides, which means you will need to be able to carry a full pack.

We are not carrying day packs and collected at the end of the day by vehicle and driven to a fixed base camp. We camp at a different location each night, you prepare your own meals, set up your tent and experience everything this amazing trail has to offer.
You should be comfortable in an outdoor environment but feel safe knowing you are in expert hands.
As part of your training program, you should be incorporating aerobic exercise into your regime at least 4 days per week, and include bush walking, carrying a heavy pack and including uneven terrain. (We will provide your with detailed training information).
The Larapinta Trail is a challenge, but the feeling of accomplishment and the memories you build along the way are truly precious. Travelling across demanding terrain, which for some adventurers will be unlike any walk you have undertaken before, is one of those achievements in life you can be proud of.
