Yes. Climbers need prior high-altitude experience, technical skills with crampons, ice axe, ropes, and glacier travel, plus a major expedition on a 6,000m+ peak. Of note, a plan can be put in place for climbers who are experienced who have not climbed significantly high peaks.

You must have excellent endurance, leg and core strength, and the ability to carry a pack for long days. Training should start 6–12 months before.

A high-quality guided expedition typically costs USD $55,000–$75,000, covering permits, Sherpa support, oxygen, logistics, and base camp services. The cost will vary based on level of service, team-size, experience of the Sherpa team, oxygen provisions, independent weather forecasting and safety practices.

Most climbers use supplementary oxygen above Camp 3 (7,200m). We supply 8 bottles (max O's) per climber, plus a regulator and mask, with extra oxygen for emergencies.

The main climbing season is late April to late May, when conditions are most stable. A smaller window occurs in autumn.

Risks include altitude sickness, frostbite, hypothermia, avalanches, crevasse falls, rock/icefall, and extreme weather. Our focus is on risk mitigation through acclimatisation, expert decision-making, weather fore-casting and experienced guiding.

The Khumbu Icefall is one of the most hazardous sections, with shifting ice towers (seracs) and crevasses. We move through it during the safest times (pre-dawn), use fixed lines, and follow strict safety protocols.

Our high-altitude Sherpa guides are among the most experienced in Nepal, all with multiple Everest summits. They are critical to safety, rope fixing, camp preparation, and carrying essential loads.

Typically 1–2 rotations are done to adapt to altitude. Climbing Lobuche East before Everest can reduce the number of rotations.

We use trusted teahouses on the trek, a fully serviced private camp at Base Camp with private box tent, heated dining, commercial kitchen and care, and high-altitude tents above.

We carry oxygen, medical gear, and satellite comms. Medical staff are available at Base Camp, and helicopter evacuation can be arranged if needed.

Training should focus on cardio endurance, pack-carrying ability, and technical climbing skills. This includes long and multi-day hikes and gym-based strength programs.

Summit temperatures can reach –30°C (–22°F).

Expect to carry 8–12kg above Base Camp, while Sherpas support with heavier loads.

It is possible but extremely dangerous. Everest One does not offer no-oxygen climbs for safety reasons.
